The Garden Of Privatised Delights Biennale di Venezia 2021

A façade brings a building to life, setting the tone and atmosphere before you enter. Experimenting with detail, form, texture, colour, pattern and material composition façade design can be playful or restrained and can easily divide critical opinion. Façades visually define buildings and spaces and have the influence to shape people’s experience of a place.

How can creative façade respond to context, climate and artistic vision? How can façade design celebrate the past in order to reimagine the future? How has technological innovation enabled us to push the boundaries of façade design? Our panellists will explore these questions and more.
